IDB Business Grants
Business must be sustainable in the long term and should have the potential to be replicated in other sectors or countries. Grant financing is offered to non-profit and non-governmental organizations,industry associations, chambers of commerce, foundations, for-profit organizations, private sector organisations. Business should contribute between 30% - 50% of the total amount of the proposed project, depending on the size and level of developent of the country of implementation. The Mulilateral Investment Fund is currently working on the following agendas: microfinance in undeserved and frontier markets, rural and agricultual MSME finance, ecosystems for responsible microfinace, start up and early stage equity funds for high impact firms, ecosystems for early stage entrepreneurs, innovative models for small business lending , mircrofranchises, linking small producers to high value agriculture markets, linking small firms to value chain, models for regional economic development , business skills( jobs, skills and entrepreuship ), basic services for the poor, models for public private partnership , leveraging natural capital, clean and efficient energy, adaptation to climate change.
